The Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic course is a technical vocational training program designed to provide students with practical and theoretical knowledge of refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, cooling equipment, installation, servicing, and maintenance techniques. The course prepares students to work in residential, commercial, and industrial cooling and ventilation industries.
Students learn about refrigeration cycles, air conditioning systems, compressors, condensers, evaporators, cooling controls, electrical components, gas charging, troubleshooting, repair techniques, and preventive maintenance. The program also covers installation of refrigerators, deep freezers, cold storage systems, split ACs, window ACs, and centralized air conditioning systems.
The course focuses on hands-on practical training where students gain experience in assembling, installing, testing, servicing, and repairing refrigeration and air conditioning equipment using modern tools and instruments. Industrial safety practices and energy-efficient cooling technologies are also emphasized during the training.
